Staking Guidelines

  • All signs must identify the responsible club/organization
  • Staking is permitted ONLY in areas approved by Facilities Management
  • Staking is NOT approved in/on the following:
  • Landscape adjacent to stairways
  • Grass or on old growth redwoods
  • In any hard-to-access areas
  • Staking may be present for a maximum of three (3) days after permit expires.
  • Removal of stakes is your responsibility

 

Chalking Guidelines:

  • Chalking is permitted only on flat, concrete surfaces.
  • Chalking is NOT permitted in/on the following:
  • Buildings, doors, or any painted surfaces
  • Seating surfaces or tables
  • Streets or stairs
  • Within 20 feet of stairs or entryways
  • Any vertical surface, like retaining walls or planter surfaces
  • ONLY washable sidewalk chalk may be used
  • DO NOT USE any kind of paint, oil or acrylic chalk or crayons
  • Chalking may be present for a maximum of three (3) days after permit expires.
  • Removal is your responsibility.
